1. Don't buy the lie.
   Hebrews 13:5a - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have...
   1 Timothy 6:9-10 - ⁹People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. ¹⁰For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
2. The "Get Rich Quick" Method: Godliness + Contentment = Great Gain
   1 Timothy 6:5-8 - ⁵and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. ⁶But godliness with contentment is great gain. ⁷For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. ⁸But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
   Hebrews 13: 5b - ...because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
3. You were not born this way.
   Philippians 4:10-13 - ¹⁰I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. ¹¹I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. ¹²I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. ¹³I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
   1. Learn to be content.
   2. Learn to be flexible.
   3. Learn to be confident.
