"Turn to God"
II Chronicles 7:14 - "if my people, who are
called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn
from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin
and will heal their land."
We must confess with humility.
James 4:6 - But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God
opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
Proverbs 28:13 - He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever
confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each
other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and
effective.
We must pray with tenacity.
Colossians 4:2 - Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Ephesians 6:18 - And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying
for all the saints.
We must seek God with intensity.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because
anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those
who earnestly seek him.
Deuteronomy 4:29-31(a) - But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you
will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in
later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. 31 For the LORD
your God is a merciful God;
We must repent with sincerity.
II Timothy 3:2-5 - 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers
of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful,
unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without
self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous,
rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having
a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
