Freedom in Christ

In the movie Braveheart, William Wallace said, "Every man dies, but not every man really lives!"  This is so true in our world today.  Everybody does but so few truly live.

How does one truly live?

II Corinthians 3:17 says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."  True freedom comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

How does one get this Freedom?

  • First, we must admit we have a problem called sin.
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  This problem leads to death both physically and spiritually.  Hebrews 9:27, "Just as a man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment..."

  • Second, accept God's solution.  I Peter 3:18, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous or the unrighteous, to bring you to God..."

  • Third, ask God to give you this freedom.  Make it personal!

Pray something like this:

"Dear God, I know I have a problem called sin.  I accept your solution, believing that Jesus died for my sins.  I believe that through Jesus Christ I am truly free to live!"  Amen

William Wallace also said in Braveheart, "It's all for nothing if you don't have freedom."

Experience the freedom that only Jesus Christ can give us!
